About Jane Whittaker:

Jane’s professional background prior to hypnotherapy is nursing, and is a trained general and mental health nurse. She has worked in a variety of settings over the years, ranging from medical and surgical wards, including theatre.
Jane studied at Huddersfield University and qualified as a mental health nurse, and has since worked on acute psychiatric wards in both the NHS and the private sector, taking on challenging roles working briefly in forensic psychiatry.
Her first encounter with hypnosis was when a family member needed extensive treatment using hypnotherapy, Jane saw first hand how hypnosis in a therapeutic environment could create results that have such an impact on someone’s life. Jane has since left full time employment as a nurse and after completing her Diploma in Hypnotherapy now runs a successful practice between Bradford and Halifax.
To maintain professional standards Jane is a member of the Hypnotherapy Society and the PHPA (Professional Hypnotherapy Practitioner Association), Jane is also listed on the professional register for the NMC (Nursing Midwifery Council) and has a current CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) certificate.
